Training

Training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6.30pm for senior players and Monday and Wednesday evenings for Youth players. Old and new players welcomed. Come along and enjoy the rugby and camaraderie at Beddau. 'The place to be, Beddau RFC'.

The Season So Far

It's been a disappointing season. We had only 7 wins out of 22 League matches, our worst season in a very long time. But we survived the dreaded drop. Our commiserations to Flower and Llan who are having to go down. Our congratulations to Ystrad Rhondda and Penallta on their promotion to Division 1 next season. We now look to increase our coaching and squad strength ready for next season.

We finished a bad season on a high by winning the Mid-Districts CUP for the 5th consequtive season. It was a close encounter but the boys showed the Beddau spirit to beat Ystrad Rhondda by 14 -13.

Forthcoming Fixtures

Sat, May 10th 2008 - WRU Division 3 Playoff Final between Aberavon Quins and Gilfach Goch - 2.30pm KO at Beddau Park.

Premiership Entry Criteria

Beddau's ground redevelopment is completed and we received our final inspection off the WRU on 5th February 2008 and we are pleased to announce that we have now obtained the Premiership Entry Criteria. We have obtained 165 points, the current entry level this season being 160 points, it was 155 points last season.

We have built new team and medical rooms, new kitchen and new toilets including disabled. We have also built a new stand to go with our existing stand and a new covered enclosure which now gives us covered spectator accommodation for 500 seated and 600 standing. There is open terracing for 2000 spectators also, new entrance gates, disabled terracing, TV gantry, players dugouts, etc, and our floodlights have been upgraded to give 300 lumens at field level.

And now - the WRU have decided that there will be two play-offs next season for Premiership entry. The two Division 1 winners play off first, and the winner than takes on a 'regional side' as they have to pay off against the bottom club in the premiership which can now use as many regional players as they want for any match. Talk about ring fencing the premiership clubs by the back door!!

Concert Hall for Hire

Our Concert Hall can be hired at a cost of £70 per session. Booking forms and conditions of use can be obtained from the club steward. The Hall can cater for up to 120 persons seated.
