With the 1st XV and Youth XV home league games falling foul of the cold weather all the spotlight was on the Athletic and they certainly delivered with a strong second half performance at Newbridge fields.
Beddau only lead 7-0 at the interval but really went through the gears in the second half to build up a 47-0 final score line.
Harri Abercrombie, Lewis David, Jace Jones, Travis Warhurst, Owain Cotter, Travis Green and Owen Rix all crossed for tries with Cotter (pictured) kicking six of the conversions.
The win cements Beddau’s place at the top of the WRU Division Six East Central table.
This Saturday they welcome Kenfig Hill Athletic to Mount Pleasant Park.
There is plenty of other senior rugby this weekend with the 1st XV travelling to Newbridge in the Community Premiership, the Colliers are scheduled to entertain Ynysybwl in a Mid District league game at Yorkdale and the Youth travel up to the Rhondda to face Tylorstown.
