Beddau brought the curtain down on a remarkable season in style with an emphatic 89–5 victory over Llangennech at Mount Pleasant Park in their final game of the inaugural WRU Admiral Community Premiership campaign.

The bonus point victory ensured the Green and Golds finished in an outstanding second position in the table ahead of neighbours Pontypridd — a tremendous achievement for a squad that has largely stayed together and continued to grow season after season.

Huge credit must go to Lee Davies and his coaching team for overseeing a hugely memorable campaign that has seen Beddau establish themselves amongst the very best sides in Welsh community rugby.

It was also an emotional afternoon as Lewis Jones and James Davies both crossed for tries in their final appearances for the club before retirement, providing fitting moments in a memorable end to the season.

Llangennech stunned the home crowd early on as they opened the scoring to lead 5–0, but Beddau quickly responded in devastating fashion.

Ethan Coombes crossed for Beddau’s opening try with Ollie Wilde adding the conversion before Coombes powered over for his second shortly afterwards, again converted by Wilde, to put the hosts 14–5 ahead.

Lewis Jones then marked his final appearance with a try before Tyler Wells added another as Beddau took a commanding 33–5 lead into the latter stages of the first half.

James Davies crossed shortly after the restart before Lewis Jones added another score as the Green and Golds continued to dominate proceedings.

Davies then grabbed his second and later completed a memorable hat-trick in his final game for the club, while Danny Perry , Noah Davey, Cody Baker and Adam Ashford also added their names to the scoresheet during a relentless second-half display.

Beddau finish the season with enormous pride after a campaign that will long be remembered by everyone associated with the club.
