The 1st XV had to battle for what was another good away WRU Admiral Community Premiership win at Cross Keys.
At the heavy Pandy Park, the green and golds scored four tries to claim an additional point to keep top spot in the table.
The New Culture Coffee shop man of the match Cody Baker crossed for two tries whilst winger Jack Davis and hooker Ethan Coombes also got over the whitewash.
Ollie Wilde had a good afternoon with the boot kicking four conversions to give Beddau the spoils by 28-23.
Beddau's defensive effort has to be applauded after playing part of the last quarter with twelve men due to three yellow cards. The home team certainly threw everything at Beddau in the latter stages and their determination to get over the finish line for another good win was clearly evident.
This was the final game of a tough three week away game block. Wins over Bargoed, Newbridge and now Cross Keys have really given Beddau hope of what could be a title challenge.
Their next scheduled game is on Saturday 21st February as Neath are welcomed to Mount Pleasant Park for a fixture that will kick off at 1pm before the Wales v Scotland game.
Both the Athletic and Youth were without games on the weekend but the Colliers were in derby action as Llantwit Fardre made the short journey to Mount Pleasant Park for a Mid District league game.
A great crowd assembled as both teams tried to play positive rugby despite the heavy conditions.
After a very tight opening half, the green and golds took control of the game in the second period to run out 43-5 winners.
Luke Davies, Ethan Forkin, Efan Jones, Dan Rees, Lloyd Morris and youth prop Wojtek Kudelka all crossed for tries with Efan Jones (3), Kallum Bundy, Alfie Egan and Kudelka all kicking conversions.
Llantwit battled to the end and gave their all, scoring a nice individual try of their own in the process..
The win takes Beddau up to second place in the table and still with their 100% record.
Well done to all our mini and junior teams in action on Sunday. Some great performances again were reported.
