Mount Pleasant Park was once again filled with smiles, laughter and a fantastic community atmosphere on Saturday as Beddau RFC Mini & Juniors proudly hosted the 3rd Annual Beddau Festival.

The event proved to be another outstanding success, bringing together families, friends, local businesses and supporters from across the village for a memorable day of entertainment and community celebration.

The Mini & Juniors committee would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day so special. Appreciation also goes to all of the fantastic stall holders, whose excellent displays and attractions added so much to the festival, along with the many volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the day in extremely warm conditions to ensure everything ran smoothly.

A special mention must also go to the day’s entertainment, with David Bartlett and his guest providing a superb musical soundtrack throughout the afternoon. Their performances were enjoyed by everyone in attendance and helped create a wonderful festival atmosphere. Thanks are also due to the dedicated set-up and take-down teams, whose hard work behind the scenes made the event possible.

The festival wasn’t just about enjoying a great day together – it was also about supporting important causes within the community.

Thanks to the incredible generosity shown throughout the day, the raffle raised £500 for much-loved club and village friend Geraint Liddon and his family. The donation will be presented over the coming days, with everyone at Beddau RFC sending Geraint and his family their very best wishes and continued support.

The event also raised an excellent £400 for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) charity, another fantastic achievement that reflects the generosity and kindness of the Beddau community.

The overwhelmingly positive feedback received since Saturday has highlighted just how much everyone enjoyed the festival, reinforcing what makes Beddau such a special place.

Once again, thank you to every single person who played a part in making the day such a tremendous success. Whether you attended, volunteered, performed, sponsored, ran a stall or supported the fundraising, you helped create another unforgettable community event.
