Beddau Under 17s were beaten 35–12 by a strong Pontyclun side in their latest Cardiff Rugby Under 17s Group Fixture, but there were plenty of positives to take from an encouraging performance.
Having faced the same opposition just a couple of months ago, the improvement shown by the Beddau squad was clear, with coaches Matthew Smith and Mike Neale particularly pleased with the progress made both individually and collectively.
Pontyclun proved clinical in key moments and were able to build a lead through a combination of strong forward play and effective finishing, but Beddau continued to compete throughout and showed resilience against a well-drilled outfit.

Despite the final scoreline, the performance marked a step forward for the young side, who demonstrated improved structure, determination, and confidence compared to their previous meeting with Pontyclun.
With continued development and commitment, this group is clearly moving in the right direction, and performances like this will stand them in good stead for the remainder of the campaign.
