There were further bonus point league wins for the 1st XV and Athletic over the weekend but the Youth were pipped in their entertaining game.

The 1st XV made it seven wins from seven WRU Admiral Community Premiership games with a workmanlike 33-6 win over Cardiff Met at Mount Pleasant Park.

There were try braces for Cody Baker and Ethan Coombes, whilst Joe Page also got over the whitewash. Baker also kicked a conversion as did half backs Callaghan Smith and Ollie Wilde to lower the colours of the students.

The New Culture Coffee shop man of the match award was presented to Adam Ashford (pictured) after another good performance from the centre.

Beddau remain in third spot in the table after this win and now face arguably the toughest challenge of the season as they make the trip to league leaders Merthyr on Saturday.

The Ironman have also won their first seven games so something will have to give at the Wern.

The Athletic continued their excellent season with a 54-7 win over Llanrumney at Yorkdale.

Mitch Davey, Tom Christopher, Christian Bird, Caelum Cox, Josh Thomas, Owain Cotter and Harri Jones all scored tries with Cotter enjoying a great afternoon with the boot slotting seven conversions.

The win consolidates the green and golds spot at the top of the WRU Admiral Division Six East Central table as they head into a long break in the league programme.

The Youth XV once again put in a good performance but were just beaten 29-26 by Rhiwbina at Upper Boat playing fields.

Ioan Leyshon again showed his skills as he crossed for a hat-trick of tries and kicked three conversions. Alfie Abercrombie also crossed for a good score but it could not prevent Beddau from being pipped by the Cardiff Club.

The Youth XV continue their Cardiff Rugby league campaign this Saturday with an away game at Llandaff. The Athletic have a weekend off, but the Colliers welcome Penygraig to MPP on Friday in a Mid District league fixture.

Our mini and junior teams were in action on Sunday where they again put in some excellent displays. It was also pleasing to see many of our junior teams paying their respects at Remembrance Sunday services in the village.
