It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of everyone at Beddau RFC, to welcome players, coaches, volunteers, parents, sponsors, supporters and friends to the 2026/27 season.

The past year has been one of tremendous progress and achievement for our Club. Our First XV competed at the highest level of community rugby, finishing runners-up in the WRU Community Premiership. To compete consistently against some of the strongest clubs in Welsh community rugby is something we should all be incredibly proud of.

Our Athletic XV also enjoyed an outstanding season, securing the league title and promotion. Equally deserving of recognition are our Colliers, who produced a fantastic campaign and were crowned league champions. Their success is a great reflection of the depth, commitment and determination that exists throughout our senior rugby.

These achievements do not happen by accident. They are the result of players turning up week after week, coaches giving their time, volunteers working behind the scenes and supporters continuing to get behind our teams. Every person who contributes to Beddau RFC plays a part in our success.

Off the field, achieving WRU Platinum Club status was another fantastic milestone. It recognises the hard work being undertaken across the Club and demonstrates our commitment to good governance, safeguarding, inclusion, development and providing a positive environment for everyone involved.

Our Youth, Junior and Mini sections remain at the heart of everything we do. Watching young players develop their skills, confidence and friendships is one of the most rewarding aspects of being part of Beddau RFC. They are the future of our Club, and we must continue to invest in them and give them every opportunity to enjoy their rugby.

We are also extremely grateful to our sponsors and commercial partners. Their support allows us to continue developing our facilities, supporting our teams and providing opportunities for players of all ages. We hope that our members and supporters will continue to support the businesses that support Beddau RFC.

As we look ahead to 2026/27, there is plenty to be excited about. Our senior teams face new challenges, and we will approach them with ambition, but also with the humility and togetherness that has always been central to Beddau.

We must never forget that Beddau RFC is much more than the results on a Saturday. It is a place where friendships are made, families come together and people of all ages can feel part of something bigger than themselves.

To our players, wear the green and gold with pride, work hard for one another and represent the Club with the values that make Beddau special.

To our coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters, thank you for everything you do. Much of your work happens quietly, but it is absolutely essential to the success of the Club.

Finally, I would like to wish every team, from our youngest Mini players through to our senior sides, every success for the season ahead.

Let us continue to build together, support one another and make 2026/27 another season to be proud of.
