A huge thanks is sent out to everyone who again supported the Club over a busy weekend.
It all kicked off on a Super Saturday of Six Nations rugby which included a special Wales win over Italy at the Principality.
The feel good factor rolled over to Sunday when our mini and junior teams were all in action. This included a special visit from the Horta Rugby Club from the Valencia region to take on our under 16s at Mount Pleasant Park. A great crowd gathered to welcome our Spanish guests for a game played in fantastic spirit. The hospitality continued back at the Clubhouse after the game where gifts from both Clubs were exchanged. Its hoped that this will be the beginning of a great relationship between both Clubs.
Once again our congratulations are sent out to all our other M&J teams who played in their respective games, giving their all and enjoying their Sunday Morning. A special thanks to all the Mothers who gave up their Mothering Sunday morning to support the children and the Club.
It was also fantastic to once again see Dylan Scott put in a fine performance for Wales under 20s against their Italian counterparts at Rodney Parade. Despite being on the wrong end of the score line Dylan can be proud of his performance and of those in the other games he has featured in during the U20 Six Nations.
As the Six Nations ends we return to domestic rugby action this weekend. Our 1st XV make the trip to Cyncoed to take on Cardiff Met in another important WRU Admiral Community Premiership fixture, the Athletic will be hoping to keep their 100% Division Six East Central record intact when they host St Peters Athletic at MPP and our Youth XV will look to continue their good development with an away Cardiff league game at Llandaff. More info on these games to follow later in the week.
