Lewis Jones, James Davies and Hemi Barnes will all retire from rugby having each made a lasting impact on Beddau RFC both on and off the field, while Danny Perry moves on to the next step in the SRC with Bridgend RFC.

Between them, they have brought leadership, standards, commitment and quality that have helped shape the culture and performances of this squad throughout the season.

??Lewis Jones??
Lewis brought far more than his rugby ability to Beddau. As a former professional player, he raised standards every day through how he trained, prepared and performed. His approach set the benchmark for others and had a lasting impact on the environment and culture we strive for. His influence will be felt long after his playing days here, and he leaves with our thanks and respect.

James is Beddau through and through. He has given his whole career to this club and leaves as a prolific try scorer and an outstanding team man. His commitment, consistency and selflessness have been a huge part of what Beddau represents. Players like James are rare, and his contribution to the club’s history will not be forgotten.

??Hemi Barnes??
Hemi arrived with experience of a higher level and brought real edge to our pack. A big, abrasive number four, he added calmness, physicality and authority to our play. His presence made a difference week after week, and he earned enormous respect for how he went about his business both on and off the field.

Danny moves on to the next level in the SRC, which is fully deserved. His athleticism and energy had a big impact on how we played, and he consistently challenged those around him to raise their game. We wish him every success in the next stage of his rugby journey and will follow it with pride.
