The Green and Golds will travel to the Powys Clubs Parc de Pugh ground supported by two coach loads of supporters on their festive day out and they will be hoping to see their team consolidate their top three spot in the table.

The hosts results this season may have not been what they have wished for, but they have put on some real battling performances with their latest outings being tight defeats to Newbridge (26-22) and Llangenech (26-14). They are always strong on their own turf and will be keen to give their support a good showing in what is their first home league fixture since October 18th.

Beddau have made six changes to the side that beat Ystrad Rhondda 11-0 at Mount Pleasant Park last weekend. Up front prop Gwilym Powell, hooker Lloyd James and number eight Ellis Evans all return. The hugely impressive Sam Tiley moves to blind side flanker. Behind the scrum Tyler Wells features again in the centre and there are also starts for Jac Argyle and Bailey Roberts. An experienced replacement bench features former Brecon scrum half Lewis Jones.

The Athletic will have a second go of playing their WRU Division Cup tie with Bargoed Atheltic at Mount Pleasant Park after last weeks scheduled game at Yorkdale was postponed due to a waterlogged ground.

This week’s quarter final draw has given the winner of this tie a home fixture against Bridgend Athletic II.

Prop Luke Jones will again skipper a youthful side as they look to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign against a team who also are undefeated and top of their division.

Clubhouse News
There is lots going on at the Clubhouse over the weekend. This Saturday night the live entertainment in the lounge is provided by the excellent Matthew Shirley. The Clubs Christmas jumper day is being held on Sunday with more live entertainment from 5pm with Amanda Kelli. There is also lots of Premiership football, European Cup rugby, darts and much more sport being shown live on our big screens and tv’s.
